This generally refers to an area bordered by MLK, Lamar Blvd., Guadalupe, and W 29th Street.
Most properties in West Campus are within easy walking distance of UT. The area is also served by its own UT shuttle route (WC), which is free for all UT students. Apartments, condos, and houses in this area typically require a 12 month lease which begins in either June or August. A limited number of 9-month leases ending in May may be available for August move-ins.
Pre-leasing for June and August move-ins in West Campus starts as early as October, and is in full swing by January 15th.

Houses & Duplexes
There are a limited number of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses or duplexes in West Campus. Rental rates start at $700 per bedroom. These properties are typically leased very early in the preleasing season–as early as October 1st in many cases.
Newer Mid-Rise and High-Rise Apartments
There are quite a few newer apartment complexes in West Campus. Garage parking is available at these properties, but is typically not included in the rent. Many of these properties can be leased “by the bedroom”, meaning each roommate is legally only responsible for their portion of the total rent.
