Properties available in this quiet, residential neighborhood consist mostly of apartments. These apartments were generally built in the 1980s, but all have been periodically updated and renovated. While not as close to UT as West Campus or North Campus, apartments in this area feature larger floorplans, more amenities, and lower rental rates than in those areas. There are many restaurants, drugstores, banks, a post office, and a large supermarket (H.E.B.) within walking distance of properties in the Far West area.
Pre-leasing for June/August move-ins begins January 15th. Pre-leasing for January move-ins begins December 1 of the previous year. Generally a nine month minimum lease is required. Many one and two bedroom apartments, and even a few three bedroom units are available at properties that cater to students are scattered throughout this area. They are all a short (15 to 30 minute) shuttle ride away from school.
